Halla Rafati began her career in marketing and public relations in 2000 with the launch of a WNBA team in San Antonio, TX before moving overseas. With experience in Latin America, Europe, China and the Middle East, Halla worked in economic development, tourism, food and beverage before joining Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts as PR Director. With a passion for entrepreneurship and a strong business acumen, she co-founded Halo PR with Catriona Smart.
Catriona Smart, a serial entrepreneur, went from founding a successful clothing line to creating one of Canada’s most popular blogs for young women, cocoandcowe.com. With Catriona at the helm, C&C became a thriving company, creating brand experiences and events for clients. Together with Halla Rafati they formed Halo PR in 2016, where Catriona oversees the creative vision.
Fatima Reyes is an enthusiastic and creative communications professional with experience at several of Toronto's top PR agencies. A few of the brands she has worked with include Forever 21, Hudson's Bay, Taste of Toronto and Yum Brands. Prior to joining the Halo family, Fatima worked closely with Halla on the successful relaunch of Cafe Boulud at Four Seasons Hotel Toronto. Fatima also has experience in the editorial landscape, having interned at Flare and contributed to Flare.com. FashionMagazine.com and HuffingtonPost.ca's Born and Raised series.
Hailey Manning is an up and coming digital marketing specialist. Not only is she social media savvy, but with a Journalism degree from Carleton University, she has the communication skills necessary to connect with varied audiences and create a lasting impact for her clients. Prior to joining the Halo team, Hailey interned at FLARE Magazine and was a reporter with Centretown News in Ottawa.
Taylor Buckley is an enthusiastic and creative communications professional with a passion for PR and a thirst for knowledge. Some of the brands she has worked with include Kobo, Vail Resorts, and various high-end fashion retailers such as Carrera y Carrera and Tanya Heath Paris. Prior to joining the Halo family, Taylor studied Public Relations at Humber College, followed by a rewarding year-and-a-half experience at a boutique PR agency in Toronto.
Trang Be is an emerging communications professional with a love for detail and finding the right voice to tell a story. She comes from a background of experience in both PR and editorial functions with Gap Canada and FLARE Magazine, respectively. Also a contributor and Associate Editor for Sophomore Magazine, Trang utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to create true-to-brand and diverse narratives for all industries.
